Prologue 03: Journey begins
「……I am so hungry.」

Though Jin has inherited Magicraft Meister, Adriana· Barubora· Tsuetsui's knowledge and skills, but there is no magic within that is capable of creating food.
As he is able to use water magic to create water (or rather collecting the moisture in the air, he was able to avoid death due to lack of water, but the lack of food is still problematic.
The clothes are made by himself.
The sewing skills that he trained were not only for show. The cloth that he used to make are found in the shelves.
His underwear is from the sleeves of his t-shirt and sport pants.
Originally baggy pant and tattered short-sleeved shirt, but with the use of binding magic, there is no need to use sewing to create a piece of clothing.
To Jin, this is a totally new experience. This was also Jin's first product.
Based on simplicity, the shoes were a moccasin-style flats, choosing the right leather to make it before wearing.

( ED Note: Used “life” here because it seems to fit much more; “ Restoring her original form” would sound awkward )
The scene of her scattering into pieces after completing her job makes one feel compassion for her demise.
Jin has already made dolls for the kids at the orphanage before and there is his nature of repairing spoilt machinery, if it can be repaired.
「The previous master is really incredible; it is nearly the same as a human's skeleton.」
The interior of the Automata has a similar skeleton akin to humans, while the muscles are substituted for magic fiber and the skin was created with magical skin made from magic.
Ether Converter and Mana Driver replaces the function of the internal organs, while the Control Core is responsible for thinking process.
「The skeleton has already become fragmented, it is unlikely for it to be fixable…… it is faster to make new ones.」
Hence Jin used the lightweight metal that was originally stored in the underground storage to remake the skeleton.
Though it is made, because it is done with magic, it became surprisingly simple; moreover he was just following the original measurements, hence, it is very easy.
Afterwards, he then realized he is using the rare 「Light Silver」, but due it’s abundance in the lab, Jin being unable to feel the value of the Light Silver was justified.
Incidentally, the price of 1 kg of Light Silver is enough to build a house, while Jin simply based that it is a good complement for magic as a reason, and readily used it.
「Ether Converter should be done like this as well, it will increase the efficiency…… By doing so, the Mana Drive can also be miniaturized.」
Jin, using the knowledge from making models, remade an improved version of these parts.
Inscribing on the Magic Tool with power words , which is also using Magi Language to engrave the incantation, for some reason it works even though Japanese is engraved instead.
And he also found that after using kanji, the effects will triple, hence everything is changed to be written in Japanese.

Incidentally, among the classifications, these Golems are classified under the most simple models. Because they are simple, hence as long as there are magic existing in them, they can continue to move without deteriorating
Ironically, the more complicated and sophisticated the Golem is, the more it will deteriorate.
「Got it, there are obviously so many of them. Then I shall take this clean and pretty one to use.」
The Magic Crystal that was originally used as the Control Core is red, the one that Jin took is iridescent like an opal.
「Transfer the information in the old Control Core over. Oh, luckily it is successful.
As expected the information in the defect part is unreadable?
Then there is no choice. Saying, this seems to be bigger, so it should be able to store more information. Why not copy my knowledge into it as well.」
Forgetting sleep and food when making things, seems to be due to his fanatical nature.

To transfer all the information will take up too much time, hence he only transfers information which involves Language.

The clothes that she was originally wearing was destroyed after her magic ran out, and it scattered into pieces.
Hence currently the Automata is naked, causing one to not know where to look.

To make his own clothes, he already finished using all the clothes he found.
With no choice, he ran to the storage to search.
Since there were a lot of Ground Spider threads, hence he used those threads as cloth.
Ground Spiders are demon beasts that rests in the ground, the threads that they spit out are extremely tough, and they are rare materials, but of course Jin is completely unaware of this.
His predecessor has also made a loom before.
Using the cloth woven with thin threads to make underwear, and cloth woven with thick threads to make coats.
Even laces are also woven out, as expected of his predecessor.
「I shall make it in the same design as the previous clothes,but how should I dye the color?」
After searching, there were also dyes available.
Jin chose the black dye that is similar to the hair color.

The shoes are made with the dark brown leather that was found in the storage.

With this, he completed the maid outfit which has a hint of fantasy style.
The clothes’ design is similar to the doll clothes that he made for the girls in the orphanage, this is not surprising.

「Now for the finishing touches, 『Activate』。」
He injected in the magic power needed to activate the Mana Driver, but the Automata lying in front of him remains motionless.
「Huh? Is there something that I did wrong?」
After checking, there were no imperfections in the completion of the magic circuit.

At this moment, his body seemly recovered its memory, and his stomach began to growl.

Jin sank onto the ground.
「If I continue to stay in this research lab, I will die of hunger……」
Hence he decide to go out first for the time being
.
Although he was filled with unease, but he did not want to starve to death.
「Uh……I remember by using the Warp Gate, one can travel to other places easily.」
The knowledge that Jin inherited, told him he has such a magical equipment around.
「I remember that the Warp Gate to the outside is at the first floor.」
Searching his memories ——more correctly it should be after searching in his knowledge, he came to the room with the Warp Gates that transfers one to the outside world.
In there, were many Warp Gates lined up beside each other.

He stood on the magic circle of the Warp Gate, injected magic power, then the magic circle activates immediately, but……

Jim forgot one thing.
That Warp Gate is something that was installed there more than a 1000 years ago.
A thousand years is a time period that can cause the sea to become land.
And the corresponding Warp Gate that was used with the Warp Gate which Jin used, no longer existed.
「It…… can't…… be…… that …… it …… lost…… control?」
The magic circle starts to flicker.
Transferring requires a lot amount of magic power, the magic power that lost its destination began to scurry out of control.

Even though he wanted to leave but he can't, and just like that Jin who is on the magic circle that lost control, disappeared from the research lab.

「……Otou……sa……ma?」(TL note: Otou-sama = honorable father)
The Automata opened her eyes.
Probably because she is situated directly under the room of the magic circle which lost control, she could perceived the danger Jin is in.
The reason why the activation was slow, is because the magic power capacity in her body has become abnormally huge, hence after the Mana Driver activated, it still required some time to convert the Ether in the air to the Active Mana that could let her move.
「Otou-sama…… is not here.」
Her creator has disappeared, this is an extremely serious matter for the Automata.
「Must…… find Otou-sama.」
Automata began to search for Jin who is her Raison d'etre.
After she finished the preparation for the new Warp Gate for their return, she activated her ability to search for Jin's magic waveform.
Until now, she realized the significant impairment in this ability.
In the past when searching for Jin, even across time and space, she can still sense it, but now she could not sense anything at all.
Automata was transfixed.
That was from when Jin was repairing her, the defect in the Control Core—— is the ability for searching.
As that part no longer exist, hence Jin did not even discover that there is such a feature.
Since there is no discovery, of course he would not go and repair it.
Hence the only thing that the Automata can do, is also to ,like Jin, enter the Warp Gate that lost control, transfer to the unknown location, and search for him there.
If it was a human, facing such a situation, one will hesitate, but the Automata does not have such thoughts, only the thoughts to complete her mission.
「Set off.」
Then she also disappeared from the research lab.
The ones left behind, are the Golems who are concentrating on excavating resources.
